Repositioning

IOTA was going through a significant repositioning, moving from a research-driven perception towards a clearer product and technology focus. I worked on the website redesign and helped translate this shift into a new information architecture, content structure and product-focused experience for developers and builders.

A key part of the work was creating a shared foundation across three IOTA websites. I contributed to a multi-brand design system and shared web component library that allowed the sites to maintain their individual identities while sharing the same underlying structure and technology.

Working with domain experts, I helped turn complex technical information into a clearer product suite and more accessible content. The result was a website ecosystem that made IOTA’s technology, products and applications easier to understand and explore.

Rebased, in forty seconds

The launch film for the network upgrade, built from the same visual language as the site.

A site rebuilt around products

IOTA was read as a research project. The revamp put the technology, the products and the people building with them at the front, and the structure followed from that.

Every product answers a question

Each product page starts from the problem it solves for a builder, then shows how it works. Written with the domain experts, drawn so a newcomer can follow it.

One language, three brands

A shared design system and component library carry three IOTA sites. Each keeps its own theme and illustration style on top of the same foundation.

Tools instead of claims

Rather than describe staking rewards, the page lets you move three sliders and see the number. A calculator answers the question the copy was trying to.

A stack made legible

The hardest part was the map. Which pieces exist, what each one is for, and in what order to meet them. This page is that map.

The front door

One sentence on what IOTA is, in plain words, above the fold. The old site took several screens to get there.
